Co-op Experience

Alloy Enterprises - Burlington, MA

Mechanical Engineering Co-op

  • Upgraded copper cutting laser's assist gas and chiller systems by specifying pressure-rated fittings, valves, sensors, and regulators; performed pressure-drop calculations and assembled final systems

  • Led redesign of heavy-lift cart, tripling load capacity to over 500 lbs while eliminating tipping and deflection issues through implementation of LM rail carriages, lead-screw drive, and counterweight system

  • Conducted measurement-based structural analysis and hand calculations to validate stiffness and safety improvements before fabrication and assembly

  • Redesigned high vacuum chamber panel for improved internal maintenance access and retrofittable reuse of existing components, reducing fabrication costs; created GD&T-compliant drawings in SolidWorks

  • Coordinated with third-party machine shops and contract manufacturers for prototyping and fabrication

Other Experience

Northeastern Makerspace - Boston, MA

Student Staff

  • Provide hands-on technical support to students using laser cutters, 3D printers, wood shop equipment, and soldering stations, troubleshooting issues and ensuring safe operation

  • Train students on proper machine operation, material selection, and design-for-manufacturing principles across multiple fabrication processes

  • Maintain equipment and workspace organization to ensure safe, efficient makerspace operations

January 2026 - Present

Accurate Lock and Hardware - Stamford, CT

Shadowing Experience

  • Shadowed a senior engineer / machinist, observed their day-to-day work and gained insight into engineering practices and industry specific tasks.

  • Contributed to the design of 3D printed and machined valve for a recycling system for a metal antiquing solution.

  • Gained experience with metal/non-metal 3D printers, milling, laser cutting and welding.
